Non-Profit Community Art Center & Gallery located in Downtown Salisbury

Art Institute & Gallery (AI&G) is located in downtown Salisbury, Maryland. AI&G is a 501c3 non-profit arts organization, funded in part by the Maryland State Arts Council (funding for the Maryland State Arts Council is also provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency), The Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council (SWAC), The Palmer Foundation and the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore. AI&G is locally supported by individual donations, memberships, designated donor funds and an annual appeal. Originally established in 1953 as the Salisbury Art League, AI&G is now beginning its 62nd year of service. The mission of AI&G is to advance the visual arts in the mid-Delmarva region through exhibitions for seasoned and emerging artists and art education for children and adults.

Alison Grice

Executive Director
Alison Grice is the new Executive Director of AI&G. She is working to find new and exciting ways for AI&G’s staff, instructors, and volunteers to promote the mission of Art Institute & Gallery, offering art exhibition and educational opportunities to all who seek them.

Megan Hunter

Education Coordinator
Megan is the Education Coordinator and Web Content Manager at AI&G. She started off volunteering and teaching camps and classes in early 2014, and joined the staff in May of 2015. She is the main person behind the website and emails that get sent out, so please contact her if you experience any issues with these services! She continues to occasionally teach at the gallery, and also creates custom dolls and illustrations outside of her work at the gallery.
